Happy Easter!!! The (crazy?) director decided to add a day to camp. At least an evening. After all the festivities today, the director got a hotel room at a hotel with a pool. The campers arrived at the hotel and immediately changed into their swimming suits and off to the pool it was! They played in the pool for a solid hour.
After the pool it was time for showers and rinsing out suits. Then it was time for dinner. The restaurant we were going to was closed so we drove through Wendy’s and took it back to the hotel. As soon as we finished dinner the campers wanted to swim again. And swim they did! For another hour. The campers had permission from their mom to stay up late. This director is welcoming bets on how early they fall asleep. Although, it’s already after nine and only one of them has showered after swimming. They might make it until ten but they won’t be up at the crack of dawn!
The final day of Camp Grandma is a trip to the Dayton Art Institute Experience Center and then back to the camper’s home where they can distance from each other and prepare to go back to school on Tuesday.
